So you’re trapped on a desert island with only one beer to drink for the rest of your life. Hurry – make a choice.
I don’t know about you, but I just picked Tankhouse. I’m sure my dad picked Coor’s Light in the colour changing cans, and my old roommate went with Moosehead – everyone has their go-to beer. Mine is Mill Street Tankhouse.
If you haven’t tried Tankhouse yet you live under a rock, especially in Toronto where it is abundantly available on tap. With it’s slightly spicy, subtle caramel notes, it’s a dark amber that doesn’t immediately appeal to people who traditionally go for lagers or pilsners, but I find it is still light enough in flavour that it appeals to most of that crowd. In fact, when I’m having a party or buying enough beer to share, I always make sure there’s enough of it to go around since it’s sure to be popular.
